You need a strong web presence. Like last year, because your competitors are blowing past you with every tick of the clock. Start with a stellar website—not Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest. Sure, social gets a lot of hype, but it’s your website that is your all-important hub. And the reason for that is Google.
These days, it’s easy to throw up a website. But to get noticed by Google, your site content needs to rank high. Why? Because the top five spots of any Google search are grabbing 50 percent of web search traffic. That means that everyone else—perhaps your company—is fighting for a piece of the remaining 50 percent.
How do you attract web visitors? With messaging that is clear, crisp, and focused on the solution for their problem. Is your content working hard for you? You can tell with a website audit.
When your website has strong content, effective use of keywords and tagging, good links, photos, and videos, you’ll entice web searchers to park on your site. When your site visitors like what they see, they’ll begin a relationship with you. They’ll become your tribe. And, if you give them enough value, eventually your raging fans.
Why Audit Your Website Content?
Because if people are not reading your content, you need to know why. It could be that your website content or blog posts are littered with typos. Or they’re boring, too technical, or too “salesy.” Or perhaps you make it too hard to find info on your site. Or there’s nothing new to see (blog!). Or your site lacks CTAs (calls-to-action) that tell your visitors what you have to offer, and what they need to do to get it.
If your current website is failing to build community and sales, let’s figure out why. After I audit your website, I’ll show you where your site is doing great—and where it’s not. Contact me today. And feel free to peruse my Portfolio page.
